Extended instructions

Closing the tube

  1. Put the balls in the tube

  2. Check the rubber ring inside the lid for any dirt or particles. A dirty sealing ring may cause some leakage.

  3. The rubber ring is removable for easy cleaning access

  4. Make sure the rubber ring is oiled. A lubricated rubber will insure a good seal. When you notice the rubber is getting very dry or the tube leaks air. Then lubricate the rubber ring with some vaseline or Nivea.

  5. The rubber ring is removable so it can be fully greased.

  6. Close the lid tightly

Pressurizing

With recommended pump (standard decatlon pump)

  1. remove the black valve cover place the pump on the valve with the pump lever closed

  2. Once placed on the valve, flip open the lever so it is parallel with the valve. This locks the pump in place.

  3. Pump:

    • 20 pumps: stores balls under same pressure

    • 25 pumps: increases pressure in balls

  4. lose the valve lever, remove the pump from the valve thread the black valve cap back on the valve

Pump with manometer

  1. pump to 1.5 - 2 bar. Look on the manometer of the pump and stop on the desired pressure

1.5 bar = maintaining the pressure inside the ball

2 bar = increasing the pressure int he ball

Random pump without manometer

You can use your own pump that does not have a manometer. This will however require you to do a few measurements first to achieve an accurate pressurazation.

Fully extend your pump and measure its length.

fully close your pump and measure its length again.

 DO the following calculation:

           ( Extended length - closed length ) * 1.5

Your answer is the number of pumps that will give you the perfect pressure.
